FAQ

Q. Which is better, overall or spot painting?

A. Overall painting is normally a good choice for restoring the surface of older vehicles. Older vehicles usually undergo significant depreciation. Complete repainting can increase its value. Spot painting protects the value of newer vehicles.

Q. Does my insurance pay or do I have to pay and get reimbursed?

A. Rising insurance costs force more and more people to pay for minor accident repairs. Universal Body Company, Inc. has great relationships with most insurance companies, with whom we work on behalf of our mutual customers.

Q. Can I receive an estimate over the phone?

A. Each vehicle and type of damage is different. When you bring your vehicle in we help you select the right service based on how long you plan to keep it, its age and condition and your budget.

Q. I want my vehicle another color. Can you do that?

A. Yes, but in most cases we suggest keeping your current color. Painting the inside of the trunk lid, doors and hood would add more cost as well being time consuming.

Q. What should I use to clean my vehicle?

A. Wash your vehicle often, especially when exposed to salty, dusty, acidic or alkaline environments. When washing your vehicle, use a nonabrasive, neutral pH (not acidic or alkaline) detergent. Do not use solvent-based cleaning solutions for washing large areas. Non-aggressive solvent-based cleaning solutions (mineral spirits) may be used for cleaning tough spots like tar and sap. Rinse after use.
